Day 11 lettuce, day 5 kale, day 1 choy sum

The lettuce isn't doing too well, no new seedlings, but the kale is doing amazing.  I have also started planting choy sum.  Later when the outdoor garden is ready I will be planting the french beans.  The main plants I will be planting outside on the big beds will be the lettuce, kale, amaranth and french beans.

Day 9 lettuce and day 3 kale

10 lettuce seedlings are visible, the kale are doing so good.  What I learnt is not to sow to deep.  Previously I sowed the lettuce and spinach seeds quite deep, about 1/2 inch, but for kale I push the surface of the soil to the edge, sowed the seeds randomly, and cover the soil is back.  The kale seeds were a few mm deep.

New youtube channel!!!

I made a new youtube channel, and I'll hopefully be posting videos once a week, so for the gardening updates, it's almost the same as a combined one week of blog posts.  Please subscribe to support the channel!

Day 7 planting lettuce and day 1 kale

I have always thought that spinach and bayam(in malay) is the same thing, so I learned not long ago that bayam it is amaranth.  That's why I replaced the spinach tray with kale first.  I am not planting the amaranth yet until the outside garden is complete.
